Abdoulie Jallow

Founder & CEO
Abdoulie is the Founder and CEO of GWAF.

With a major in Geography and Environmental Science and fellowship experience at the United Nations MCN Academic Impact program, he is a visionary educator and activist who empowers rural communities through farmer‑centered education, tree‑planting campaigns, and sustainable initiatives that strengthen climate resilience across The Gambia.

Abubacarr Jallow

Executive Director
Abubacarr oversees the foundation’s operations and partnerships.

He ensures projects are effectively implemented and aligned with GWAF’s mission of climate resilience and community empowerment.

Ismaila Lowe

Administrative Secretary
Ismaila is the Administrative Secretary of GWAF.

He combines his background in Agriculture and Public Administration with experience as an educator and youth leader. He supports climate action by strengthening organizational systems, helping the team deliver farmer‑centered education and sustainable solutions that build community resilience.

Jainaba Jallow

Treasurer
Jainaba M. Jallow has been the Treasurer of the Green World Activists Foundation,

where she ensures transparent and effective financial management to support the foundation’s mission. She oversees budgeting, reporting, and compliance, helping the organization grow sustainably. With experience in finance, business development, and education, she has worked as a Financial Controller, Business Development Manager, and now also teaches English and Home Economics at Bymyra Bilingual School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the International Open University and an Advanced Diploma from Gambia College. Known for her teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail, Jainaba plays a vital role in strengthening the foundation’s impact across The Gambia.

Hatab Colley

Liaison Officer
Hatab is the Liaison Officer of GWAF, pursuing a degree in Geography and Agricultural Science.

With years of teaching experience in Agricultural and Environmental Science, he leads partnerships with schools, communities, and local foundations to advance climate advocacy. Fluent in multiple languages, he strengthens GWAF’s outreach by fostering collaboration and promoting sustainable practices that build resilience against climate change.

Mahmud Sallah

Environmental Officer
Mahmud leads environmental awareness campaigns.

He supports sustainable practices and helps communities adopt climate‑friendly solutions.

Lamin Colley

Educational Officer
Lamin designs and delivers farmer‑centered learning programs.

His work ensures that climate education is practical, accessible, and impactful for rural communities.

Ebrima D. York

Strategist Officer
Ebrima plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization’s long-term vision by aligning programs, partnerships, and operations with its mission and impact goals.

He lead strategic planning, and ensure cross-team coordination to drive measurable outcomes. By conducting research, analyzing trends, and engaging stakeholders, the he Officer helps the foundation adapt to changing environments, make informed decisions, and amplify its influence in the community and beyond..

Alhassan Ceesay

Logistics Support Officer
Alhassan ensures workshops and outreach events run smoothly.

He coordinates logistics to strengthen GWAF’s ability to deliver climate‑resilient programs effectively.
